Why Sales And Marketing Are Just Like Fishing

Program Description:

String of fishHave you ever been fishing in a boat with someone else when they catch all the fish and you just get nibbles?  There is a difference between fishing and catching! Catching the right clients for your business requires strategy, skill and patience.  It requires using the right bait, at the right time and in the right place. Even if you have the right bait, catching clients still requires the right methods to get them on the hook and then into the boat.   If you have ever been fishing, perhaps you can picture the analogy. Join us for this fun and thought provoking discussion about the many similarities between marketing and selling your remodeling services and trophy fishing.  We will have all the gear and the bait you will need for the trip.   After this guided fishing trip you should be able to fill your tackle box with the right gear to fish in your own pond back home.

Learning objectives: By completing this class you will be able to:

  • Better understand how to determine where to fish for your ideal customers and the right project types for your business.
  • Take home some marketing strategies and tactics that can help improve the quantity and quality of your leads, .with an understanding of how and when to use them.
  • Nice troutLearn the three things you need to know before you can sell a solution to a prospect
  • Learn how to help your prospect discover why they need to discuss budget with you.
  • Learn how to separate your company from the competition in ways far more valuable than price!
  • Learn how to properly catch and release certain prospects so you will have the opportunity to catch them again at a later date and turn them into customers.
