“Thanks for making me see the light and moving forward with my commitment to having a profitable business!!”
SWOT Analysis is a very effective way of identifying your Strengths and Weaknesses, and of examining the Opportunities and Threats you and your business face. Carrying out an analysis using the SWOT framework will help you to focus your activities into areas where you are strong, and where the greatest opportunities lie.
Shawn was first introduced to SWOT by Chris Hutchinson. As an associate at the Residential Design/Build Institute at that time, Chris assisted Shawn in developing a SWOT process and reporting process for use as a business analysis tool. Since then, it has been used to help remodelers and other businesses of all types and sizes.
“This experience pointed out that our company, although it has good strengths and people, is experiencing major conflicts that impair our growth”
During this 2-day event Shawn uses an experience and time tested process to work with the business owner and employees to measure the “existing conditions” of the business for the purpose of “discovering” possible improvements and or opportunities. This information can then be used to help “Design/Build” a plan to facilitate the business design chosen as a result of the experience. Because they are active participants, the process also helps employees “Buy into” and/or “Gain Ownership” of the plan for change and better understand the big picture of the business.
Why SWOT? (Day One)
SWOT Analysis is a very effective way of identifying your Strengths and Weaknesses, and of examining the Opportunities and Threats you and your business face. SWOT can help you to focus on your strengths, minimize weaknesses, and take the greatest possible advantage of opportunities available. Carrying out this analysis will often be illuminating - both in terms of pointing out what needs to be done, and in putting problems into perspective.
Why Options Analysis? (Day Two)
Options Analysis is a very effective way to convert your Business’ SWOT results into a prioritized list of possible options which you can implement to further improve your company. By building on your company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in a constructive way, you can achieve sustainable growth for a long time to come!
